1. Where does Dowser Spring Water come from?
Dowser is a New York State certified spring water. Dowser's water source is a protected spring that has been NYS Health Department approved, is annually inspected and tested daily. The natural spring source for our five- and three-gallon bottles is the Shawangunk Bulk Spring (NYSDH Cert #232) in Pine Bush, NY. Located at the foot of the Shawangunk Mountains its pure, clear flow is completely free of any surface water contaminants, and it is renowned for its delicate, very light mineral taste. 2. Does Dowser do Home Delivery?
Yes. We like to call ourselves the “Home Delivery Specialists”! Call today to find out about our Home Delivery Water Club Plans. We have one that’s just right for you and your family. Pay one price for automatic delivery right to your home. Dowser Water Club includes the FREE use of a water cooler! You don’t even have to be home for your Dowser Driver to deliver -- leave the empty returnable bottles where we can replace them at regularly scheduled intervals convenient for you. Dowser’s coolers will meet your hot beverage and cold drinking water needs. We can also deliver case goods right to your door! 3. Where should I store my water bottles?
Dowser Spring Water should be stored in a cool (room temperature) dry environment away from direct sunlight and toxic materials such as paint, gasoline, and household cleaning products
4. What is the difference between “spring”, “drinking”, and “distilled” water?
Spring Water is defined by the Federal FDA and New York State as a natural bottled beverage derived from a protected underground aquifer that flows naturally to the surface. The original mineral characteristics of the spring water may not be artificially modified during the bottling process...it must retain its natural mineral constituents to be labeled as spring water. We think it’s the best option!
Drinking Water is bottled water intended for human consumption that may derive from any of several sources: springs, wells, public supplies, or distillation. Drinking water can be processed through such techniques as reverse osmosis, deionization, ultra filtration, and remineralization to ensure safety and taste.
Distilled Water is recaptured, condensed steam that is free of the minerals found in the original source water. Commonly used for special diets, steam irons, and certain manufacturing processes, distilled water is often described as having a "flat" taste or no taste at all.
5. How does the refundable bottle deposit work on my bill?
After the initial setup, we swap one-for-one (fulls for empties). If you require more fulls than your normal number of empties we invoice for the additional deposit; similarly, we credit your account when you reduce your stock of Dowser bottles.

Dowser bottles remain our property and are never sold...when they reach the end of their service life we properly recycle then into car bumpers or building materials. Dowser's returnable bottles are the perfect green package and never end up in landfills or the solid waste stream.
6. Why should I choose home delivery over buying water at the store?
Why struggle with heavy bottles to and from the store when for about a dollar a day you can have the convenience of Dowser Spring Water delivered right to your home or office. Dowser is affordable, natural refreshment.
7. What if I already own my own water dispenser?
No problem we’re the water specialist and we’ll deliver 5-gallon or 3-gallon bottles to you even if you own your own dispenser. All of our bottles are equipped with industry standard caps so fitting your personal dispenser is not a problem. 9. How much water should I drink everyday?
For an adult, the daily recommendation is 8-8 oz. glasses. A better calculation is ½ of your body weight in ounces for example (150 lbs divide by 2 equals 75 so, 75 oz. per day). Remember to always drink more when exercising or in extreme heat and don’t forget to keep the kids drinking!
10. Does Dowser deliver where I live or work?

11. Does Dowser Spring Water contain chlorine or any chemicals?
No. Dowser Spring Water is pure spring water bottled to government and industry regulations and standards. Dowser is divine refreshment!
12. What should I do if my cooler starts leaking?
-First remove the bottle from the cooler/dispenser. Over 95% of the time it’s NOT the cooler/dispenser, but the bottle that is causing the leak. This is especially true if the leak isn’t coming from the front of the cooler (spigots), and looks like it’s coming out of the back or top.
-Polycarbonate bottles can sometimes develop a micro-crack or a pinhole after many cycles of cleaning and sanitizing. The bottle will hold water and not appear to be leaking. Once it is placed on your cooler/dispenser and the water level drops below the crack during use, it cannot hold the vacuum which keeps the water in the inverted bottle.
-To see if it is really the bottle or the cooler/dispenser, remove the bottle from the unit. Allow the cooler/dispenser to sit with no bottle on it (without anyone using it!) for about an hour. After the hour, if the unit still has water in it (you can get a cup of water out of it without putting a new bottle on top), it is by process of elimination the bottle. Please mark that bottle clearly as a “LEAKER”, and leave it out with your empty bottles. We will give you credit for it on your next delivery. 14. Do you have coffee services available?

15. What if I refer friends to Dowser, and they sign up for service?
You earn three free bottles or if you are a Home Water Club member, 1 month’s Club free, from the grateful folks at Dowser for each new referral! That’s right, refer as many as you want! If they sign up for service and use your name, we will send you three bottles or a free month for each one!
16. What does non-spill or closed well mean?
A non-spill or closed well cooler system provides protection from cooler and water contamination and also easy bottle replacement. The “nipple” system mounted on the reservoir prevents dirt and germs from entering the cooler and because you do not have to remove the bottle cap to place the bottle on the cooler the system becomes spill proof. Don’t forget, Dowser bottles are also equipped with handles for easy bottle replacement!
17. Does Dowser bottle for private labels?

18. Is it better to rent a water dispenser or purchase one?
When you rent a water dispenser from Dowser, you get the guarantee and peace of mind of knowing that you are using state of the art, energy saving, commercial grade dispensers in your home or business. If the cooler malfunctions, Dowser will not repair it, but replace it in a timely fashion at no cost to you. When purchasing a cooler, you’re faced with a limited warranty and costly repairs (if you can find a repair person) and that could take days! Take the worry out of water with Dowser!
19. Does Dowser deliver Pepsi and other cold beverages to the home or office?
Yes. We have a selection of Pepsi, Mtn Dew, Lipton Teas and other items that may be delivered to the home or office. Your sales person will provide the details to you.
